Lotsa Updates!

Good Evening Etsy Little Rock!

Here are a few updates we're going to post all at one time!

Here goes:
I wanted to share this amazing opportunity with you. Kiva (www.kiva.org) is a non-profit based in San Francisco that aims to create economic opportunity for entrepreneurs around the world. To date, they've supported over one million entrepreneurs in 70 different countries.

Last year they launched a U.S. pilot called Kiva Zip and are looking for financially excluded and socially impactful entrepreneurs to whom they can make 0% interest loans up to $5,000. The loans are crowd-funded by individuals from around the world on Kiva's website, connecting entrepreneurs with dozens of lenders who provide capital, marketing, and support.

Kiva Zip is looking to help fund projects and new businesses in Arkansas with financial and social capital. To learn more about their program you can reference this fantastic overview of the Kiva Zip program (prezi.com/qyclxsdikw1-/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy&rc=ex0share) or see the 1-pager at www.dropbox.com/s/kiormr4rmot0cyh/UpdatedKivaInfo.pdf.

If you are interested in this opportunity, or would simply like to know more, please contact Mitchell Adams (who’s working with Kiva Zip) at dmadams@clintonschool.uasys.edu.

Also, please feel free to contact us to put you in touch with Kiva-Team Etsy Little Rock success stories!

This is not an official team Etsy Little Rock (ELR) lab, but Macy Madison, of Paper, Scissors, Little Rock (PSLR), is an ELR team member and she supports our team by carrying many of our member's amazing works of art in her store!

This Sunday at PSLR, ELR's own Myrrh Jewelry will be hosting mimosas & myrrh in conjunction with PSLR.

The specs:
It's DIY party time, again! Come pamper yourself with a beautiful Myrrh Jewelry trunk show, mimosas, and creating a bangle bracelet with your choice of charm. Michelle (of Myrrh Jewelry) and Macy can make it for you if you just want to shop and sip at the scissors!

The event info is here:

Let's support such events if possible (we understand schedules are super hectic these days) as we would like to see team ELR host successful labs in the future and this is a great trial run.

I apologize for not posting this sooner!

Vending Opportunity Repost:
HANDMADE HOLIDAY SHOP CALL FOR ARTISTS
For the very best in artful holiday gifts

Local artisans Allison Britt, Amelia Houser and Briana Moore have joined creative forces to bring the concept of the “pop-up” shop to Hot Springs once again. Essentially, this is a temporary shop created specifically to provide a unique holiday shopping experience for the discerning buyer.... The Handmade Holiday Shop will carry quality local and regional handcrafted items. The Handmade Holiday Shop will be located at the Historic Hale Bathhouse located on Bathhouse Row in Downtown Hot Springs.

Select artisans are invited to display their work on consignment. A participation fee of $200 and two consignment levels are available.

Last year's shop welcomed groups of buyers with a lovely seating area, coffee station and a Make-Your-Own gift tag station featuring a gorgeous manual typewriter. They anticipate another successful season and invite artisans to be a part of this new tradition of shopping in Hot Springs.

For more information, please contact:
Briana Moore, Larkmartin Soaps – nesthandmade@gmail.com

Allison Britt AEB Design- allison@allisoneastmanbritt.comm

Amelia Houser, HuckleBerry Acres Folk Art -adhouser01@sbcglobal.net

I (Allison) will be at Hillcrest Harvestfest if anyone wants to talk to me in person about the shop. We have secured the use of the Hale Bathhouse in downtown Hot Springs. It is a prime historic location and right next door to the Superior Bathhouse Brewery and Distillery.

    1. Thank you so much, Susie for the kind words! Without amazing members like you and Tim (and your time volunteering, advertising, and participating) we wouldn't have a team to speak of! You all are such a brilliant group of artisans and we are thankful for you!
