Fundraising Repost from Dimestore Diamonds:
Hi Etsy artisans! I am helping with a fundraiser for Our House called Tie One On. Our House is a shelter for the working homeless, and the work they provide for their residents is truly amazing! I'm not here to ask for your money, I'm here to ask for your time & talent. We need artists to paint/sew/decorate aprons for the auction. If you are interested in being one of our artists, please email me at dimestorediamonds@gmail.com.

FAQS ABOUT BONUSES

How does my bonus differ from Kiva Credit?
Any bonus received is funded by a sponsor and can only be used to make loans. Unlike Kiva Credit, a bonus expires 7 days after your invitee joins Kiva and cannot be withdrawn, used to purchase a Kiva Card or dedicated loan, or donated to Kiva’s operating expenses. Also, any repayments of loans made using a bonus will go back to the sponsor, not to you as the lender.

Is there any maximum bonus I can earn?
No, there is no limit to the amount of bonus you can earn. However, supplies are limited and will be made available on a "first claimed" basis.

Will I earn a bonus for friends who’ve joined Kiva in the past?
A bonus can only be earned for new users joining Kiva. This means that you will not receive a bonus for any friends you’ve successfully invited in the past.

What loans can I make with my bonus?
Most loans on Kiva can be funded with your bonus. However, bonus funds cannot be applied to loans with repayment terms over 21 months or with Field Partner risk ratings below 3 stars. Loans purchased with bonus funds also cannot be dedicated.

Lotsa Updates!

Good Evening Etsy Little Rock!

Here are a few updates we're going to post all at one time!

Here goes:
I wanted to share this amazing opportunity with you. Kiva (www.kiva.org) is a non-profit based in San Francisco that aims to create economic opportunity for entrepreneurs around the world. To date, they've supported over one million entrepreneurs in 70 different countries.

Last year they launched a U.S. pilot called Kiva Zip and are looking for financially excluded and socially impactful entrepreneurs to whom they can make 0% interest loans up to $5,000. The loans are crowd-funded by individuals from around the world on Kiva's website, connecting entrepreneurs with dozens of lenders who provide capital, marketing, and support.

Kiva Zip is looking to help fund projects and new businesses in Arkansas with financial and social capital. To learn more about their program you can reference this fantastic overview of the Kiva Zip program (prezi.com/qyclxsdikw1-/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy&rc=ex0share) or see the 1-pager at www.dropbox.com/s/kiormr4rmot0cyh/UpdatedKivaInfo.pdf.

If you are interested in this opportunity, or would simply like to know more, please contact Mitchell Adams (who’s working with Kiva Zip) at dmadams@clintonschool.uasys.edu.

Also, please feel free to contact us to put you in touch with Kiva-Team Etsy Little Rock success stories!

This is not an official team Etsy Little Rock (ELR) lab, but Macy Madison, of Paper, Scissors, Little Rock (PSLR), is an ELR team member and she supports our team by carrying many of our member's amazing works of art in her store!

This Sunday at PSLR, ELR's own Myrrh Jewelry will be hosting mimosas & myrrh in conjunction with PSLR.

The specs:
It's DIY party time, again! Come pamper yourself with a beautiful Myrrh Jewelry trunk show, mimosas, and creating a bangle bracelet with your choice of charm. Michelle (of Myrrh Jewelry) and Macy can make it for you if you just want to shop and sip at the scissors!

The event info is here:
www.facebook.com/events/430647590388441/435565143230019

Let's support such events if possible (we understand schedules are super hectic these days) as we would like to see team ELR host successful labs in the future and this is a great trial run.

I apologize for not posting this sooner!

Vending Opportunity Repost:
HANDMADE HOLIDAY SHOP CALL FOR ARTISTS
For the very best in artful holiday gifts

Local artisans Allison Britt, Amelia Houser and Briana Moore have joined creative forces to bring the concept of the “pop-up” shop to Hot Springs once again. Essentially, this is a temporary shop created specifically to provide a unique holiday shopping experience for the discerning buyer.... The Handmade Holiday Shop will carry quality local and regional handcrafted items. The Handmade Holiday Shop will be located at the Historic Hale Bathhouse located on Bathhouse Row in Downtown Hot Springs.

Select artisans are invited to display their work on consignment. A participation fee of $200 and two consignment levels are available.

Last year's shop welcomed groups of buyers with a lovely seating area, coffee station and a Make-Your-Own gift tag station featuring a gorgeous manual typewriter. They anticipate another successful season and invite artisans to be a part of this new tradition of shopping in Hot Springs.

For more information, please contact:
Briana Moore, Larkmartin Soaps – nesthandmade@gmail.com

Allison Britt AEB Design- allison@allisoneastmanbritt.comm

Amelia Houser, HuckleBerry Acres Folk Art -adhouser01@sbcglobal.net

I (Allison) will be at Hillcrest Harvestfest if anyone wants to talk to me in person about the shop. We have secured the use of the Hale Bathhouse in downtown Hot Springs. It is a prime historic location and right next door to the Superior Bathhouse Brewery and Distillery.

Etsy Little Rock presents: 3rd Annual Indie Arts & Music Festival

A Family Gig:  Etsy Indie Arts and Music Festival

LITTLE ROCK - Eat Local, Buy Local, Listen Local!  That's the mantra for the fun in store April 27 when you experience the eclectic work of local independent artists, musicians and foodies (well, food truckies) at Etsy Little Rock’s 3rd Annual Indie Arts and Music Festival.
Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. 'til 8 p.m. you can browse, eat and rock out on Woodlawn in Hillcrest, in front of The Shoppes on Woodlawn.
You'll enjoy live, local music, tasty selections from local food trucks and shopping Etsy Little Rock artists' booths, as well as the Shoppes on Woodlawn.
There will be face painting and balloons for the kids, and for the adults in the crowd, free drinks (while they last).
Have you heard of Etsy?  Founded in 2005, Etsy is an e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items as well as art and craft supplies.  Etsy’s online community spans the globe with buyers and sellers coming from more than 200 countries.

And Etsy Little Rock (an Etsy member-curated team), with the help of its awesome sponsors, comes to you “live” April 27!  Besides being great fun, the Etsy Little Rock (ELR) artists hope the event deepens the relationship between the ELR community and other local artists and merchants - as well as making the work of local artists known and available to the public.
Already, nearly 30 artists and eight bands are set for the Indie Arts and Music Festival.  And if you know Little Rock, you know that Food Trucks are THE place to find the freshest and most delectable of treats.  From savory to sweet and back again, take your pick from some of the best Food Truck cooks in the state!
It's fun, it's free, it's Etsy Fest.  We'll be glad to see you in Hillcrest Saturday, the 27th.

And please be sure to thank our sponsors:
Arkansas Times
Café Bossa Nova
Pulaski Heights Realty
River City Tea, Coffee & Cream
Roll & Tumble Press
Stickyz Rock & Roll Chicken Shack
